West Deptford Junior Women's Club promoting a better Community!
![]() | About UsThe West Deptford Junior Women's Club is one of the over 250 clubs throughout New Jersey that are part of the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) and the New Jersey State Federation of Women's Clubs (NJSFWC). The NJSFWC was founded in 1894 and is headquarted on the campus of Douglass College in New Brunswick since 1966. The Federation is a member of the GFWC, the oldest and largest nonpartisan, nondenominational women's volunteer service organization in the world. Opportunities are provided to women in education, leadership training and community service through participation in local clubs, enabling members to make a difference in the lives of others, one project at a time. Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of every month from September through June at the West Deptford Public Library. The meetings held in December and June are social events for a fun night out. Anyone interested in joining WD Juniors should reach out to Aimee Boucher at AimeeBoucher@aol.com prior to a meeting. Our WorkOur club works for the welfare of the community in the charitable, educational and public service capacities. Every 2 years, all of the clubs participate in a State Project and the project for 2012-2014 is Seeing Eye ( www.seeingeye.org ), whose mission is to enhance the independence, dignity and self-confidence of blind people through the use of Seeing Eye dogs.
